Three engines, side-by-side
Most aggregators show one route and hide the rest. Ropil queries LiFi, Relay, and THORChainin parallel and shows you each engine's best quote. You pick which to route through.
How the three engines differ
Each routing engine has a fundamentally different liquidity model. One is rarely best for everything — that's why side-by-side visibility matters.
LiFi — bridge + DEX aggregator
Scans dozens of bridges (Stargate, Across, Hop, Connext) and per-chain DEXes (Uniswap, SushiSwap, 1inch, KyberSwap, Odos). Deepest for EVM-to-EVM stablecoin moves and major asset swaps. Settles in seconds-to-minutes depending on the underlying bridge. Live in v1.
Relay — intent / solver network
Solvers race to fill your request from inventory pre-positioned on both chains. Often the fastest path for L2-to-L2 USDC — under 30 seconds end-to-end. Worst case: solver doesn't bid, request falls back. Comparison view in v1, execution in v1.1.
THORChain — native L1 liquidity
Pools hold real BTC, ETH, LTC, DOGE, BCH in validator vaults. The only way to swap native L1 assets cross-chain without a CEX or wrapped tokens. Trade-off: deeper slippage on large amounts because pool depth is finite. Native BTC/L1 quotes light up in v1.1.
Why we're honest about v1 vs v1.1
Other aggregators slap fake "AI route comparison" charts that show comforting numbers without naming sources. We show real LiFi quotes today and explicit "coming v1.1" cards for the engines whose execution flow isn't wired yet — because lying to users about three live routes when only one is real is exactly what we built Ropil to avoid.
